Julia Aguirre

Julia Aguirre is an assistant professor in the Education program at the University of Washington Tacoma.  Her research interests focus on equity and social justice in mathematics teaching and learning, mathematics teacher education, and culturally responsive instruction.  She works with k-12 pre-service and in-service teachers to develop equity-based instructional practices that supports and advances mathematics education for youth historically marginalized in STEM education.  · · · · · · · · · website
